The real dogs
HungryLab is a game about one simple truth: a Labrador will eat anything left unattended, and some things that aren't food at all. Every dog in the game is based on a real lab we've known and loved. Their quirks in the game are their quirks in life. Here they are.
Bailey
Yellow lab · the one who started itBailey's full name is actually George Bailey. He is a sweet yellow lab who has never met anyone, or any food, he doesn't like, and his counter surfing antics inspired this game.
Scout
Silver lab · big and lovableScout is a big, lovable silver lab who is friends with everyone and very well behaved, but every once in a while gets into mischief when you least expect it.
Sydney
Lab and boxer mix · the tongueSydney was a rescue, part lab and part boxer, with the longest tongue you have ever seen on any living creature. A heart of pure gold, she was the sweetest dog you could imagine, except when it was time to steal a ball from a friend or a slice of pizza from your plate.
River
Black lab · wise beyond her yearsRiver was a quiet, lovable rescue dog who was wise beyond her years and didn't want anyone stealing her food or toys. She didn't mind stealing a bite of cake, or a slice of ham at Thanksgiving, when no one was looking.
Maxwell
Chocolate lab · loyal to the endMaxwell was a chocolate lab, as loyal and friendly as can be. He went completely blind and went everywhere with his seeing-eye people, whether it was a car ride to the store or a day at work in a busy office. Even though chocolate is not good for a dog, Maxwell may have stolen a full box of chocolates once and hidden the evidence under an unsuspecting human's bed.
Tucker
Yellow lab · the rock eaterTucker was a yellow lab with the loudest bark, who managed to have more than one surgery because he swallowed rocks in the backyard. He loved pizza and chasing the ball. He was not the biggest fan of broccoli.
Stryker
Yellow lab · the originalStryker was the oldest of the bunch. A truly loving and loyal yellow lab who played soccer and ate everything in sight, including a remote control once. Stryker was the first lab who showed us a lab's genetic disposition for any unattended food, up to and including full loaves of bread left on the counter.
